According to this speech by Noam Chomsky, Gavin was right after all. Control of energy resources is key to understanding our behavior, and in the bigger scheme of things, that energy resource is the Middle East.

Gavin, would you call yourself an exponent of human thermodynamics (http://www.eoht.info/page/human+thermodynamics)? If so, I have a burning question for you. Is there an official position on global warming from this emerging field (e.g., causes, implications, forecasts)? More importantly, are there any compelling ideas or solutions that are in the works?
Thanks,
Chad

Hi there Chad
I really don’t know,
I’m just not plugged into the climatic disciplines. My personal hobby is
the human mind and business organisations.
From an energetic point
of view, all I can say if the accounting doesn’t work, then it doesn’t
work and there will be an inundation and/or destruction. Plane and simple.
The economy is just such
an example of terrible energetic balancing. (Our latest debacle).
Pump too much crap into
the atmosphere!!! The tipping point is???
The solution is simple balance
the energetic equations for life and growth. The answer as you can see on this
list is much more difficult.
This type of thinking is
called fragmentation and demarcation. In simple reductionism.

Gavin

According to this speech by Noam Chomsky,
Interesting speech, smart
guy Chomsky.
Gavin was right after all.
It’s not me saying
these things; I’m just rehashing what other people are saying.
Control of energy resources is key to understanding
our behavior,
I just gave the very
formula for this in many posts on this list. (De Lange’s
Free Energy formula).
The simple fact is this
we can burn “coal” not “rocks”. Because of its heat
content.
Human behaviour is “the
control and concentration of internal energies and accumulation and control of external
energies”

Gavin
