[From Rick Marken (2004.07.30.1110)]
The CSG Meeting at the Cenacle in Chicago was wonderful. There were some
interesting new faces mixing with the usual suspects and some there were
some very nice presentations. We got to see the very nicely produced Chinese
translation of B:CP (called Perceptual Control Theory, I believe) and the
cover of the soon to be published 2nd edition of B:CP.
There were some really neat papers circulated at the meeting. In particular,
I though that the paper on "Some properties of negative feedback control
systems" by Powers and Kennaway was excellent. I hope it is published soon,
perhaps in the new Journal of Perceptual Control (JPC) which will be created
by Richard Thurman.
I would like to get electronic copies of talks presented at the CSG meeting,
if you have them. I know one or two people who would like to see them. If
you have electronic copies of your talks (or the papers on which the talks
were based) please send then to me at marken@mindreadings.com.
Best regards
Rick
