CSG 2006 & Systems Conference Tape

[From Rick Marken (2007.03.24.1520)]

Is a CD or DVD of the 2006 CSG Conference in China available? I'd sure
like to purchase a copy if anyone has one.

Best

Rick

I have a few, but they seem to cover mainly the meeting in the main room,
not our session. I’ll send you one.

Great. Thanks.

But I though Lloyd and Dag were working on getting a version of the main meeting talks out. Any news on those DVDs Lloyd or Dag?

Best regards

Rick,

I have not kept up to date on conference tapes since 2001.

Back in 1993, some 20 people ordered and paid for CSG conference tapes. In 1994 perhaps 6. Since then I have had about two paying customers each year, plus several give-aways. As a business, working these video recordings never made any sense.

Recording the videos has been very important to me as a historical record. The world will be very interested once PCT catches on. It is certainly a labor of love.

For the past many months, I struggle to find time to update the website, establish bookkeeping, animate the Rubber Band demonstration and more.

I have had my editing VHS tape deck repaired (new power supply) and an 8 mm deck likewise and am getting the hang of working Ulead VideoStudio 10 to make edited tapes.

The quality of presentations at CSG meetings have been rather low, especially in the past ten years, so I figure the best way to deal with it is to make DVDs organized by speaker (Bill) or topic. I have not thought that through, but have organized my boxes of camera tapes, edited tapes and such, and have filled a trash can with finished videos from earlier years.

Lloyd still has his recordings from China and has shared a sample with me. I will get to it in due course, but it is not my top priority right now.

Best, Dag

OK, thanks.

I seem to have lost the copy I got from China. I would appreciate it if someone who was at the 2006 conference in China could send me a copy of the main meeting talks.

Thanks

Rick
