CSG Conference 2003 Business Meeting

[From Bob Summer (2003.08.03.2135]

Thanks to all of you who contributed to the successful and intellectually stimulating CSG 2003 conference. I am, as always, awed by the breadth and depth of the knowledge of the participants and the ideas put forth. It is an honor to be able to serve as the new president of the CSG.

Below, I have listed some items that were discussed at the CSG 2003 conference business meeting. These notes are meant to be an addition to items already mentioned by Rick Marken in his posting of 2003.07.28.1420.

  1. A committee was named to check out locations and facilities in the Midwest for the next CSG conference to be held

in the third week of July, 2004.

    The committee members are:

a. Dick Robertson for sites in Chicago and surrounding areas.

b. Shelly Roy for sites in Minnesota.

c. Bruce Abbott for sites in northwest Indiana.

  1. A second committee was named to search locations and facilities in the northeastern USA for the third week of

    July 2005.

    The committee members are:

a. Bruce Nevin for sites in New England

b. Kenny Kitzke for sites in the Pittsburgh area

c. Was there a third person on the committee? If you know the answer, please contact me.

  1. Fred Good’s soon to be implemented PCT website will be worked on, to coordinate it with other CSG websites, by

    the following:

a. Bill Powers

b. Rick Marken,

c. Dag Forssell

d. Lloyd Kleindinst

e. Gary Cziko

  1. Dag Forssell is setting up several websites one of which will be “PCT Resources” which CSG could use with Dag as

webmaster and with the site under his control.

  2. The following item was inadvertently omitted during the excitement of the 2003 business meeting:

a. Rick Marken will continue as Secretary-Treasurer of CSG for 2003-2004

  1. Rick Marken plans to put the treasurers report for 2002-2003 on the CSGnet.

Best regards,

Bob Summer
