Down Under

[From Bruce Abbott (941205.2000)]

I've been down with the flu since early Sunday morning--had
one of those "dry" fevers, which got me to thinking about
          PCT, of course. To wit:

There are two kinds of fevers, dry and wet. Dry fevers
occur when the bodily set point for temperature is raised
above normal; heat production rises without activating the
body's defenses against excess heat. Wet fevers occur when
the body's heat production goes up in excess of set point,
which triggers sweating to counter the disturbance.

          More later,
