establishing a program for the study of living control processes.
Actually, I don't find it "most queer" at all. "God forbid," some member of
the ruling class might say, "that ordinary folk should gain an understanding
of the way things really work. Under no circumstance should the myths and
shibboleths that foster reference conditions in others that are supportive
of our aims and continuation be placed under scrutiny or brought into
question. After all, we've led them to believe that "information is power"
and so they seek information instead of knowledge. God forbid that they
should turn away from their quest for information and seek knowledge instead."
It requires only a little imagination to conclude that at least some of the
rich and powerful would be opposed to a high-quality education for the
masses. Most people don't really want the playing field leveled; they want
it tilted to their advantage.
