This can obviously be extended
to all the other applications of the power law, in which one stimulus is
evaluated as N times the magnitude of another stimulus. So Stevens was
simply repeating Fechner’s law in a disguised form. His law is the same
law. The power law is Fechner’s law.

The second line should read

the response to one stimulus is evaluated as the Nth power of the
response to another stimulus

Best.
