Fred Nichols has informed me that he is resigning as CSG President for 2008-2009. He said that he will not be attending the CSG 2008 meeting and probably no meetings in the future.
When asked for an explanation, he said that it was not practical for him at this time.
I expressed my sorrow in the news and wish him and his family the best in the coming and future years.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope it wasn't something I said.
This is a big disappointment, David. I hope it is nothing serious for Fred. I am surprised he was not more forthcoming.
As I recall, we did not elect a VP or President Elect who could step in for Fred. Are there any candidates identified? Would someone on the net volunteer?

Actually, a VP was elected. Paul Green, I believe his name was. As for me, I am fine healthwise so no need for anyone to worry on that score. I'm simply in the process of extracting myself from my former life and trying to get a new one going. I'll stay on the list but will probably not participate as much as I have in the past.
Disconnectedly yours,
