I don't think Annie knows whether the problem is hers or Mrs. Corrie's
until she checks it out. I presume Annie's fears are based on real
past experience. The question is whether her apprehensions are well
placed that this time, Mrs. Corrie will do what Annie anticipates.
The fact is, Mrs. Corrie may prove true to form. That's why I say
that the road to trust requires that Annie, Mrs. Corrie and all share
their apprehensions to check them out. Generally under these
circumstances, the power known as love shifts people off stereotypic
