Sometimes I get ahead of myself and don’t explain things as concisely as I would like. This hopefully will clear up any issues with regard to Action Science and my interest in it. On to memory and Bruce Nevin’s post after this.
Argyris’s theories and methods are about human interaction. he has extrapolated from interactions, a theory of human behavior ( his Model I ). He describes interactions interestingly but falls a bit short on individuals. He believes our actions show our real “intent”. We believe our actions are part of a process to controlling our perceptions. I think both theories can learn from each other. He is weak in explaining individual behavior, we on interactions. Who knows, maybe something can come of it.
