You may be correct about the phantom income voting behavior survey. I
thought the survey people had taken steps to correct survey bias. THere was
the famous telephone poll conducted prior to the 1932 election which
predicted that Hoover would win in a landslide. Of course, most people with
a telephone at that time had high incomes, so there was a bias built into
the poll. I've been assuming that what people reported couldn't possibly be
true, but then all I've got to go on is the NPR soundbite.
