Rick, I hope you and Linda are OK with the fires in LA. I read in the NYT that flames are practically at the doors of the Getty Museum.

RM: Hi Bruce. We are fine, thanks. But the fires are, indeed, disturbingly close to our lives. The Skirball fire closed Ucla so they called off my Wednesday night Extension class. It also closed the Santa Monica school district so my son got a day off to swim with the dolphins. Linda doesn’t docent at the Getty at the moment but a good friend of ours does and, of course, her work was affected by the fire. But I think the Getty is safe now.
Best regards
Rick

Hi barb
good to hear, but sad for those affected…
Indeed! Talk about losing control. Those fires were an insuperable disturbance to the perceptions controlled by many people. But fortunately no loss of life the ultimate looss of control as far as I know.
