(Lack of) Control Demo

[From Rick Marken (2012.10.17.1710)]

My daughter found this; she sent it to me either because she knows of
my love of control theory or my contempt for lying, hypocritical,
incompetent, bullying salesmen.

Beautiful. We have a unknown ally out there somewhere. This person managed to deliver the central point with total clarity, without once using pejorative words.

Best,

Glad you liked it. Might as well have some fun now since I am not
optimistic about what our &*%#$*& (couldn't think of any
non-pejorative words) voting population is going to do in November.

Fortunately, your optimism or pessimism has no physical effects except on you, so it won't affect the outcome by more than one vote.

Wait a minute, you're not planning to ... No, you wouldn't do that.

Best,

Bill P.

RM: Do you mean vote for Romney or jump off a roof? I'd probably do
the former first; I live in a deeply blue state so if Romney actually
won the people most hurt by it would be those in the states that most
enthusiastically support him. So me voting for Romney would actually
be a great way to hurt the majority of his supporters (those not in
the 1%). Unfortunately, it would also hurt a lot of innocent
bystanders so, no, I wouldn't do that.
