Learning and adaptation

[Eetu Pikkarainen 2019-02-01_14:44:41 UTC]

FYI: My latest publication where I write about PCT is just published as part of a special issue in the Sign System Studies journal Vol 46, No 4 (2018) Learning and adaptation: Semiotic perspectives: http://sss.ut.ee/index.php/sss/issue/view/46.4

I touch on the work of Jacob von Uexkll - who is, as far as I know, the first one to utilize an explicitly circular model to study action of living beings - and compare his model to Power's one. My article "Adaptation, learning, Bildung: Discussion with edu- and biosemiotics" is freely accessible as pdf from: http://sss.ut.ee/index.php/sss/article/view/SSS.2018.46.4.02/264

As always, comments are welcome.
