Regardless of our approaches to perception and behavior, etc., Rick, how
is it possible to believe that having a head of state and government who
is all the things you say he is could result immediately in changes in
the way things are done by the FBI, etc.?
I don't. My point was simply that the tragedy in Waco was the
responsibility of the Wackos themselves -- not of external forces
(like the FBI). What I see on the news are a bunch of jerks (mainly
republicans) saying that the FBI could have done better job and even
suggesting that Janet Reno should resign. This implies that there was
some right way to "deal with" (ie. control) the behavior of the
Waco Wackos. In other words, the critics of the FBI, Reno and Clinton
are assuming that the behavior of the Wackos is controlled by external
(environmental) stimuli. But it ain't, according to PCT, anyway.
I said all those nice things about Bill C. because he's such a breath
of fresh air after the Raygun/Butch era. He seems to understand that
people are control systems and that government are formed by people to
help themselves control better. The republicans believe in conflict --
the enemy of control; they like conflict because they are usually the
winners and to the winners go the spoils. Bill C. clearly believes in
cooperation -- the friend of control when it is carried out by
control systems sharing the same environment. I don't agree with
everything he does -- partly beause he has to deal with the fans of
conflict (the republican bozos) in order achieve greater levels of
cooperation. But his system concepts are definitely in the right
place. He can't (and won't be able to) make the world a better place
right off the bat -- that's for sure -- but he might make a little,
teensy weensey bit of progress after four years, I hope. But it's just
nice and relaxing to have someone in charge (for the moment, at least,
until the big money scuz bags get it back) who almost certainly will
encourage the right things to happen. With Raygun/Bush I was sure that
they would always encourage the wrong things to happen -- and I was
rarely disappointed.
That's why I'm so ticked about the press's response to the Waco thing.
Suggesting that Bill C. or Janet R or the FBI could have done better
is just SR thinking; the Wacko's were responsible for what happened in
Waco and people who understand PCT (like Bill C.) know that.
