Apparently the “Deceptive Website” warning that now appears when you go to my “mind readings” site been hacked. This is a problem for me for two reasons; it means people can’t go to my website and learn about PCT and it also means that people in my square dance club and go the club website because it’s housed at the site.Â
I had no idea that a website could be hacked in this way. If anyone knows how this might have happened, who might have done it (if it was done by hacking) or how to fix it I would appreciate it if they would let me know.
Thanks
Best

You may be overgeneralizing from personal experience, I would guess an error issued by software provided by your ISP or installed on your computer. I get no such message going to mindreadings.com using Opera (which is derived from and in its fundamentals equivalent to Chrome) and with Comcast as my ISP.

When something similar happened to me (twice independently) on one
occasion the host (Dreamhost in my case) had been blacklisted and
all the sites it hosted marked as deceptive or malicious (I forget
exactly the form of the problem). They had to deal with it. On the
other occasion, a forum site I had not updated because the purveyor
had gone out of business was hacked. The Dreamhost support staff
helped me get rid of the foreign files, but I had to shut the forum
down entirely. So the problem may not be yours, and your provider
may be able to help.
There’s a third possibility, too. If only one visitor has reported
the issue, they may be the one with the problem. I visited mindreadings.com and started the Behavioral Illusion demo without
getting any warnings. Maybe I don’t have enough safeguards to detect
a real problem at your end, but maybe you are not the one with the
problem.

Thanks all. Right now things seem to work fine again; I’m not getting the “Deceptive Site” message on any browser. So
I have no idea what is going on. I will contact the ISP (earthlink) that hosts the site to see if they have any idea what happened.
