Need help with finding a word

Hey guys, I'm stuck for the right word in something
I'm writing and would be grateful for any help.

What is the name of that practice whereby a
university will give some admissions priority to a
recommendation from an alumnus, such as a parent?

Thanks in advance. My word finding is getting to be
a random process or something lately.
