No Hard Feelings

Just to demonstrate that I am not prejudiced with regard to
Steven Landsburg (the economist who inadvertently triggered the
recent infamous "incentive" flame exchange of CSGnet), he has a
column in the current SLATE ( dealing with
rational choice. The point I found particularly interesting is
the evidence that some of us (Sadham Hussein not being in this
group. I have carefully avoiding thinking of others on this net
that might also qualify for omission ;-)) have a very low
reference level for regret that on occasion plays a
stronger role in our actions than does the reference level of
our desire for gain.
