Hi Fred
I'm posting this to CSGNet. This should not be taken as an endorsement
or critique of you post. In fact I have no opinion about it since,
having gone up a level, I find that I no longer have opinions.

Hi Rick.
Later today I will work on those answers I got from you and Bill regarding
the CSG. We have been in Flint, Michigan, where we had 120 teachers "in
training." It went well.Anyway, I don't seem to be able to reply on the CSGNet, so I will be getting
some help on that soon. Meanwhile, I can't help but put in my two cents. If
you think this is interesting, maybe you can quote me on the net!I think that the difference between folks who are in favor of Obama, like
me, and those who are in favor of McCain, has to do with ideology and/or
world view. People who think that we know the truth, even something like the
existence of God, will tend to have rigid positions about things, whereas
those who are skeptical or who believe, as I do, that we don't know a whole
lot about most things and that we have to keep our minds open to new
discoveries at all levels, will tend to be open to change and will view the
world in more relative terms. Go to Borders or Barnes and Noble book stores
and you will find that the science section consists of a tiny percentage of
the books in stock. For me, PCT science is fascinating. Therefore I am
making an effort to also better understand physics (among other things) and
the history of science. The more I read, the more I realize why so many
folks don't try to understand more about science. It is hard work! Much
harder than philosophy. It's a lot easier to go to church and believe in God
and the Bible and be told what is right and wrong. When you do something you
feel bad about, like in the Catholic Church, you simply ask God's
forgiveness. I still say Acts of Contrition when I think I've done something
bad just to be safe!
When I got into publishing, I came to realize that anything, absolutely
anything, written by a person is a matter of interpretation...at least to
some degree. I also realized that anyone can do it. I lost my admiration for
the Bible as being some kind of sacred book inspired by God. Unless, of
course, anything written is inspired by God because He created us, something
I'm no longer convinced of. Were Einstein or Powers inspired by God when
they came up with their theories? I guess I'll have to ask Bill about that!Best,
Fred
