PCT Anecdote, Part II

[from Joel Judd 950802.1425 CST]

A LETTER TO THE EDITOR FROM THIS WEEK'S TIME MAGAZINE:

Responding to the recent expose on the mind and brain, one reader
compared neuroscience to our forebears taking apart a car. Only if one
understands the principle of internal combustion, he says, will all the
parts make sense. So instead of spending all our time taking apart the
brain, he recommends asking the question, "What real-world principle is
the brain designed to exploit?"

All together now: _______ of _______.
