PCT: How versus Why

[From Bruce Gregory (2010.05.23.1745 EDT)]

PCT does a superb job describing how I am able to drive my car to the local supermarket. It is not obviously superior to benighted psychologies such as dissonance-reduction theory, however when it comes to describing why I choose to take this particular action at this particular time. This is not to say that I can't make up such a PCT story, just that it appears little more predictive than other such stories.

Namaste,

Bruce

When you ask Why A? you get an answer B.

Then you ask Why B? and you get the answer C.

and so on until you don’t remember Why N? withouut using hindsight.

You never get a full answer when you ask a why-question.

Tell me why this is not elementary. You know more about this than me.
