Picture of Bill

I have a new computer and the connection with my printer was being persnickety…I figured it out a few minutes before midnight last night and so I managed to post it on my Facebook page in time. Here I’m sending it a bit late but nevertheless in remembrance of my Dad, Bill Powers, who I love and miss very much.

Thanks Allie.

Yes, yesterday marked six years since Bill passed away. Remarkable man. Here are a couple pictures of him that I treasure, since they are with me!Â

Thanks, Rick! Those are sweet. Dad looks like he is having such a good time.

Thanks to both of you for those
pictures. Maybe we should start an archive of pictures of
PCT-related people. I thought I had one of Bill in '93, but if I
did, I can’t find it. I tend not to take pictures of people, even
such kind hosts as Bill and Mary. Now I regret that.

I appreciate the memories and photos of Dad…hard to believe it’s been 6 years. What a big influence he has been in so many lives…

Where I live, on any clear night, I can see the Milky Way and the many constellations I remember him pointing out. My favorite is Cassiopeia, and how one can use this constellation to locate the next closest spiral galaxy, Andromeda. Wow!

Perhaps his fascination with the great expanse of the universe is what led him to be able to think so far outside the box. Would that we could all free our minds that way!

I suspect there are a good number of photos from meetings in the archives at NU, unless they are still at Allie’s house. I know that Mom had a fair collection. There are also many videos of meetings, thanks, I believe, to Dag Forsell. It would be well worth making sure these are properly stored and cataloged if they haven’t been already.Â

Best,
