I love the way both Bill Powers and Rick Marken applaud the entrance of Martin Taylor on his big white horse when he comes riding into the fray saying how PCT is based on the firmest of theoretical foundations, yet both remain eerily quiet when Martin also says that I might have a good point or two. They also remain quiet when Martin starts talking about ideas that are theoretically possible and plausible but not popular with either Rick of Bill.
Martin on the other hand will not come onto CSGnet and disturb the Powers that be by actually getting into a dialogue with me about how one of his pet theories might be implemented or viewed.
Martin probably thinks I’m trying to goad him into saying something offensive to Bill, but I’m not. I’m trying to broaden the discussion of CSGnet and in a funny way it works, even if it is indirectly.
