Years ago, by both behaviorally oriented people and cognitively oriented
people. I suspect a lot of people are told "don't waste your time" when
they express PCT-like interests. It has been long enough that I think it
is best to let the guilty off with anonymity.

boonies both geographically and professionally - we can get hold
of this stuff through ILL but have to be specific about what we
ask for.

After my crash on the superhighway, I want to be careful about long posts.
I am also slow in catching up from the backlog of reading due to the slow
feed to Buffalo freenet, which I am no longer using for CSG-L. On top of
that, my wife was at a regional foreign language meeting this weekend, so I
had extra child care duties.
I have been shopping for Pascal. The latest Turbo appears to be 7.0.
Anyone know how compatible this is with the versions other CSG model
enthusiats are using ? I got a pd Pascal running this weekend, and got the
net-circulated programs running except for graphics.
Does someone have a handy bibliography of developmental work using a PCY
approach ? It occurred to me that tacking could be adapted for
developmental work (some of Piaget comes immediately to mind) very nicely.
I tried some of the DEMO1 tasks on my 4 year old son this weekend. He did
at least as well as I on most of the tasks, but did much worse on some of
the "other variable" tasks, particularly shapes and tones (he did the size
problem as well as I). I didn't have a chance yet to try my 2 year old
daughter. I might as well set up a longitudinal pilot project, since the
opportunity is here but won't be here forever.
On Bill Powers comments on single VI and the "bitonic" relationship between
response rate and reinforcement rate- James Dugan has a research program
centered on this issue, although his work is with rats rather than pigeons.
There have been a series of papers recently. On I have by me as I write
is Dugan, Kuh, and Vink (1993). Session duration and the VI response
function: Within-session prospective and retrospective effects. JEAB, (60),
543-557.
I think I will take the onramp now and see if I can merge with the traffic
more elegantly this time.
