Pre Confernence/MOL

[from Autumn Winter (981122.2100 PT)]

I am certainly willing to make arrangements for the pre-CSG/intro to
PCT/MOL workshop in Vancouver.

I think the best approach is to have it just before or just after the
annual CSG meeting and in the same place. I'm already booked to give a
talk to local IAACT people just before CSG (in Vancouver), so maybe we
could
make the MOL meeting even earlier, or combine them. How about Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday for the MOL/IAACT meeting, with CSG starting
Wednesday
evening and ending the next Sunday? Of course people from Ed Ford's
group would be more than welcome, too. Extremely more than welcome.

Me:
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for the pre-conference workshop seems the
best way to go. I assume Monday would start with an intro to PCT and how
it could apply to counseling/therapy/helping followed by MOL sessions on
Tuesday and Wednesday.

I think that sounds great although I'm not really sure what you mean. Do
you mean running MOL and IAACT concurrently or combining the two and
having some MOL workshops as part of the IAACT meeting?

Me:
My understanding is that there will be no official IAACT meeting. I
believe Bill had planned to give a one day talk prior to the CSG
conference to whomever would be interested, which probably would be
mostly local IAACT people. Turning it into a 3 day workshop seems
ideal. I think it would attract more attendees (and not just local
Vancouver area people) than a one-day intro to PCT would. I imagine a
few CSG members may also want to attend.

What are the dates for the 1999 Vancouver conference?

Best regards,

A good agenda; let's adopt it. I want extra expenses covered for me and
Mary, so set up your workshop fees accordingly -- say cost plus 10%. Us
fixed-income types have to be practical.

My intentions exactly. I suggest we use the same time format as the CSG
conference, with afternoons off. This should make it tolerable for those
who have to make it through both conferences. We are all very grateful to
you for taking on this added job!

Best,
