I've just finished reading what for me turned out to be a difficult but intriguing book by J.A. Scott Kelso: "Dynamic Patterns: The Self Organization of Brain and Behavior". Have any other PCTers read it? If so, what thinkest thou?

I have not read that book, but I have always had trouble finding a way to make use of models of the brain that are based on the dynamics of self-organization. The approach seems to me a bit like string theory, fascinating but not very useful. I'd love to be wrong.

A true believer knows the solution before he understands the problem.
