Religion and PCT

[From Bill Powers (2007.12.03.1208 MDT)]

I suggest that the way to settle the science/faith problem is to wait until something comes up that raises the issue. So far I haven't seen anything of substance on CSGnet where it would make any difference. Let's wait until it does, instead of trying to take care of it in advance.

Best,

Bill P.

I think it made a difference in the recent (aborted) discussion you
were having with Kenny about the the relationship between your view of
the Observer and his view of the Creator. I think this could have
developed into an interesting MOL session aimed at finding the source
of Kenny's reference for having faith in a Creator. I think the
discussion went nowhere because the need to maintain faith got in the
way of an interest in a scientific understanding of it.
