Why is Vensim not an appropriate setting in which to do the Economics Test Bed work?
I noticed in the sample programs that others have used Vensim to simulate Economic stuff?
Just curious.

As I explained over the phone, the Test Bed is going to involve some
pretty large data sets, and also a lot of relationships. Representing
these in Vensim would be diffricult. Anyway, the reason I am learning
Smalltalk is that Bjorn Simonsen volunteered to help work on the Test Bed
(the only person so far), and stated that he was going to work in
spreadsheets or Smalltalk. Since I really have a hard time figuring out
other people’s spreadsheets from examining formulas in cells, expressed
in cell coordinates instead of named variables, I figured that it would
be easiest for me to learn Smalltalk which at least vaguely resembles the
kinds of programming I know.
The tutorials are actually pretty good and I’m making progress
