I'm really happy to tell you that I finished my book "Die Spielregeln im
Klassenzimmer" (The Rules in the Classroom) after three to four years of
thinking about a book project and 1-2 years of collecting data and
re-writing the texts including a translation of Bill Powers intro text to
PCT. The book is available now in a prepublication version (of course in
German language).
The book gives insight in the procedure I teach German teachers to help
reducing discipline problems (I talked about that at the ECSG meeting in
Burgdorf).
I think that the whole project is a great chance to test and prove the
validity of PCT in a real, complex social environment. It would be great if
anybody has an idea how to utilize the work which is done in the schools to
improve the acceptance of PCT in the general public.

That's great news. Have you really translated "Making sense of behavior"
into German? My sister, Alice McElhone, should be notified if you want to
publish it in Germany -- she would handle royalty and copyright

He has paid us for the book, the postage to Durango and postage to wherever he is from Durango. She has sent you two books: one for Mary for backup against another order and one for Dr. Balke with a check to cover the passage from Durango to wherever.
We are almost finished with the Feds and CT (having nearly survived a Sales & Use tax audit…not quite complete) and almost completely automated out record-keeping. Josephine has reconstructed the book history so I should be able to figure out with some confidence where we are and give you a report (and a check!). I’m so sorry it has taken so long. The books may have been the straw for Fritz in hanging on to the accounting function. It was terribly convoluted the way it was being done. Last step is a trip to the warehouse for a true physical inventory so everything ties out, but that has to wait until we get our 2000 taxes completed and paid for. That should be by the end of the coming week or we’re in big trouble.
Simplify! Simplify! is my new motto. Except the gods were looking the other way. I found out on Thursday that I too have Lyme disease. I’ve just started a month of oral antibiotics (with yogurt for the friendly bacteria and water, water, water). I’m OK, just pretty tired usually, and REALLY tired of the miserable aches and pains. I bore even myself.
