Suggestions please

[From Dag Forssell (2015.09.19.1545 PDT)]

For the last two and a half years the official PCT/CSG website
www.iapct.org has
featured the tribute by Fred Nichols on the home page.

I think it is time to move this tribute under About Powers and change the
home page.

What can we say as a good, short summary up front?

Best to all,

Dag

Hi Dag… thanks for keeping track of this. Here are my suggestions, at least for now.

Keep his photo on the page, and maybe include a photo of the front cover of “Behavior, the Control of Perception,” both centered at the top.

Remove, “In Memoriam: William T. Powers.” Replace with Perceptual Control Theory, and his name under that, centered under the photos.

Move the first sentence and the second paragraph to the “About” page.

Perhaps include a new second paragraph to mention that his complete works are being archived at Northwestern University.

Any thoughts on these ideas?

Thank you,

Dear Barbara,

Nice suggestions. Thanks

I have just shortened links throughout
www.iapct.org,
updated the home page, About Powers, and Links.

It is my hope that anyone who wants to refer people to information about
PCT shall find it sufficient to refer to
www.iapct.org or

www.iapct.org/Links.html
or iapct.org under Links.

I just added the third version at the bottom of the second page of my
recent paper

http://www.livingcontrolsystems.com/intro_papers/domain_pct.pdf
. This
will be included in the Book of Readings.

Getting things right is an iterative process, so feel free to offer
additional clever suggestions now that you see progress so far.

Best, Dag
