Tetris, Methods

Stefan Balke (970512.1415 CET) --

there was not that big problem with Rick's accusation, because he
was right with his arguments. I was happy that I got that point
already a time ago and disengaged from conventional psychology
and engaged to PCT.

Thank you for being so cool (in every _good_ sense of that word) in
this very hot medium.

I would like to note that my paper on PCT methodology has been
accepted for publication in _Psychological Methods_. The road to
publication was surprisingly smooth -- especially considering what
the paper says about conventional methods. All the reviews were fair
and positive (especially those of Reviewer A -- thanks Gary) and
the editor (Mark Appelbaum) was very helpful and encouraging.

I would like to thank everyone who helped me with the paper. I got
a lot of good suggestions from people who read it at last year's CSG
meeting (Bill Powers, Kent McClelland, Tom Bourbon, Gary Cziko, and Phil
Runkel among others). I would also like to thank Bruce Abbott
for the reference to the great "flyball catching" Science article
that I used as an example of Testing for Controlled Variables.

If Bruce A. or anyone else has some more references to published
examples of Testing for Controlled Variables I would sure like to
have a look at them.

Thanks

Rick
