For myself, I hope to implement it in Objective C and run it on Macs and ipads.
MacRuby is an implementation of the Ruby programming language that compiles to Objective C.
[Ruby is] much easier for other programmers to read.
There is also a jRuby implementation of Ruby that can use all of the current Java libraries,
which might appeal to Java programmers.
Cool! This appeals to me because I have programmed exclusively in
Java since 1998. However, one of my personal motivations for this
project is that I want to expand my skillset. I will have a very light
work load until next February and plan to use my time expanding my
skillset. Having said that, I do believe that this project is very
important and has social significance. So if other folks are
interested in coding and have another language or platform, let's hear
it!

BP: I'll hang back while you get this organized, then probably join in later. Pretty busy right now. I've just installed Ruby and will study the Book of Ruby (as I recall, that's right after Deuteronomy.)

OK. We have some time before we must commit to a language. It breaks
my heart not use Objective C. But maybe it would be for the best.

AM: Sure, I’m interested in coding. There is still a lot of work to do before actual coding - clearing things up about humans in the economy. I’m trying to get my head around judgements of value.
Ruby seems interesting. Installed it. Looking for IDE.

Cool. The App might be pretty simple to code. If we make sure that
the configuration files have the same format then we will be able to
import/export accross platforms.
