The Work of Byron Katie
I hope this makes it. This is something
LIKE, but not the SAME as CBT. What is going on here?
The four basic questions she uses to work
with a “stressful concept” are…is it true? Can you absolutely know
it’s true? How do you react/what happens when you think (or identify with) that
thought? Who would you be without that thought?
There are other questions too–see some
of the guides under “resources.” I suspect it is still a way of
activating awareness/MOL/reorganzing. PCT may find another or better method.
Maybe…

motive, no strings. It’s nothing without your answers.
The Work will
join any program you’ve got and enhance it. Any religion you have
— it’ll enhance it. If you have no religion, it will bring
you joy.
And it’ll
burn up anything that isn’t true for you. The Work burns through to
the reality that has always been waiting.
Byron Katie, founder of The Work, has one job: to teach people how to end their own suffering. When
Katie appears, lives change.
As she guides people through her simple yet powerful
process of inquiry, called The Work ,
they find again and again that their stressful beliefs—about life,
other people, or themselves— radically shift.
