Things we do, Meme Machine, I like Rick too

[From Chris Cherpas (2000.09.21.1100 PT)]

It's been a while. I've been laid up after back surgery.

Things we do: I'm glad it's out there, but it was a bit disappointing
to me since I thought there would be something new, especially about
education; also, I can't speak for BP, but PCT seems to owe little to
Bernard, at least directly; also, selectionism and circular causality
get a bit confounded (note: Skinnerians are selectionists); I do like
the idea of the table in Chapter 11.

Meme Machine: To me, there's an obvious need for "memes" to be
understood in PCT terms, and I wish someone would publish something

on this; also, I'm curious as to how PCT analyzes "imitation" (it's an important part of Susan Blackmore's thesis). I like Rick too: 'nuff said.

I'll check in again after some pain meds.

Best regards,
cc

Rotten luck. I hope you're on the mend. Keep us posted.

I like Rick too: 'nuff said.

Too much. I'm getting back to PCT again.

Best,

Bill P.
