Just got yr CSGNET post. Let me think awhile. I certainly don't plan
to leave the net. I think the recent correspondence is an interesting
example of communication or failures thereof, to study. I don't know
that I want to circulate my material sent to ray at Boeing any further,
and the grandfather intellectual property is Bill C's anyhow to do with
as he pleases.
I really don't agree with some of the things you say about discrete and
continuous systems, because difference equations can give the same answers
as continuous differential equations, within the limits of experimental
errors due to things like thermal noise, and so are just as good as
models.
And many things follow logically from that premise. So, let's take that
discussion very slowly, one step at a time and off line, if you want to
discuss the question. Martin has taken me to task for putting foot in
mouth before brain is in gear about PCT, and I accept what he has to say.
And I really do think we all seek for "Truth and Beauty", but
we have different definitions. But not radically different ones.
