Windows 98?

[From Chris Cherpas (980823.1224 PT)]

So far I've just downloaded and run CLTSYS.MDL, and looked
at a few graphs. It _would_ be better to see formulas instead
of words, but otherwise looks OK. It's still hard to beat
those DEMO programs for educational value, but you can't
look/tinker under the hood either; I didn't notice if Vensim
lets you plunk hypertext links in various places to
achieve a more completely visually-exploding glass box.

Will doing so make it a mess for me to keep using Netscape
and Eudora and Trumper Winsock instead of Bill Gates' programs?

I haven't locked/crashed anything yet; I am planning to
upgrade to 98 soon, but there's always that nausea that
accompanies buying from the Gatester.

Best regards,
cc

Do you know how to see the formula? Click on th Y=X2 button
then click on the variable of interest. the equation editor
shoul pop up.

Not in the PLE version. The professional and DSS version
allow you to "layer" and link your models.

Hope this helped a little.

I'm getting a lot of "This program has performed an illegal operation and
will be shut down."

Would this happen less often with Windows 98? Is it a good idea to upgrade
to Windows 98? Will doing so make it a mess for me to keep using Netscape
and Eudora and Trumper Winsock instead of Bill Gates' programs?

I just bought a new computer and all research indicated that the latest
version of Windows 95 is superior to 98, which is supposedly full of bugs.

I am also using the latest Netscape and its mail program. You can use mail
filters to direct threads to individuals folders as long as everyone agrees to
start their subject line with the same characters.

Cheers,
