Dear Friends:
I was very pleased to learn this morning that the editorial committee of
Bradford Books of MIT Press has accepted my book manuscript for
publication. The reference should eventually look like this:
Cziko, Gary. (1995). _Without miracles: Universal selection theory and the
second Darwinian evolution_. The MIT Press (A Bradford Book).
If I can manage to get the final manscript to them by the beginning of
December, the book should be out sometime next summer. It will be marketed
as a tradebook and so should hopefully be available at a bookstore near you
for about $29.
Many of you receiving this note were of invaluable assistance to me in
reading all of part of my manuscript or in providing useful information
when I asked; and you will be accordingly acknowledged in the book (along
with the usual disclaimers that all the mistakes are mine, and that you may
not agree with all--or anything -- in the book, etc.) If you fear that you
might be acknowledged and do not wish to be, please let me know.
For those of you who still have parts of the manuscript to read, I would
greatly appreciate receiving your comments as soon as possible so that I
will still have time to consider your suggestions.
