Working papers

[Martin Taylor 930930 13:30]

There were three working papers I brought to Durango for distribution,
but in insufficient numbers of copies. I received requests for more
copies to be sent by mail from Bob Clark, Clark McPhail, and Chuck
Tucker. Things were in a great turmoil before my last trip abroad,
and I don't remember whether I sent them. The reason I am saying
this publicly instead of privately asking the three individuals is that
I am prepared to send them to anyone else whos would like them.
If any of the three named has not received the papers, I will assume
all three have not, and will send them. So could one or all of you
let me know? And anyone else who would like them.

The papers are: (1) An annotated slide set that is a tutorial on
PCT and data fusion, (2) A prologue to my proposed paper on information
theory and PCT, describing the necessarily subjective nature of the
notion of probability, and (3) a 20-year old paper on the necessity
of Occam's Razor as a tool for science (it describes the description
versus model issue in quantitative terms).
